Schindler Attorneys Advised RENOMIA on its Investment in KOBAN SÜDVERS Group

Schindler Attorneys advised RENOMIA a.s. (“RENOMIA”), one of the leading insurance brokerage groups in Central and Eastern Europe, on its acquisition of a 50% stake in the holding company of KOBAN SÜDVERS Group (“KOBAN”), one of Austria’s leading independent insurance brokerage groups.

Headquartered in Prague, RENOMIA operates in 13 countries with approximately 3,000 employees and manages annual insurance premiums of around EUR 1.3 billion. KOBAN is a long-established Austrian, family-owned insurance brokerage group specialising in commercial and industrial insurance solutions.

Under the new ownership structure, RENOMIA and the Koban founding family each hold 50% of KOBAN’s holding company, which owns 90% of the operating group. The remaining 10% continue to be held by SÜDVERS. The partnership aims to accelerate KOBAN’s growth in Austria, strengthen its international network and support further expansion through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

The transaction further strengthens RENOMIA’s presence in the Austrian insurance brokerage market.

Schindler Attorneys acted as lead counsel to RENOMIA, advising on all legal aspects of the transaction, including legal due diligence, drafting and negotiation of transaction documentation, closing arrangements, regulatory approvals and completion of the transaction.
