Schindler Attorneys Advises UHL Bau GmbH on Strategic Partnership with FSN Capital Compass I

Schindler Attorneys is pleased to announce that it has advised UHL Bau GmbH in connection with a strategic investment by FSN Capital Compass I. The investment marks FSN Capital Funds’ first platform investment in Austria and aims to further strengthen UHL Bau’s position as a leading provider of critical infrastructure services in the Austrian civil engineering sector.

Headquartered in Wiener Neustadt, UHL Bau GmbH is a market leader in underground civil engineering services, specializing in electricity, gas, water, sewage, district heating, and telecommunications networks. Founded by the Uhl family in 1966, the company has grown consistently, achieving more than 10% annual revenue growth over the past 15 years and generating over €80 million in revenue in 2024. Today, UHL Bau employs approximately 460 people.

The strategic partnership with FSN Capital Compass I supports UHL Bau’s continued growth trajectory and underscores a shared commitment to sustainable infrastructure development. Existing owners Jürgen and Sabine Uhl will retain a significant minority stake and remain active on the company’s supervisory board, ensuring continuity and alignment with the company’s long-term vision.

FSN Capital Compass I will work closely with the Uhl family and UHL Bau’s management team to drive future growth through a combination of continued organic expansion and selective add-on acquisitions. The investment strategy will also emphasize operational excellence and sustainability, contributing to Austria’s ongoing transition to renewable energy.
